The Standard Outdoor Local Controller
(ELC) is a programmable RTLS appliance that provides distributed,
serverless, location awareness and control in outdoor mixed-use
commercial and healthcare environments.
Housed in an IP-66 enclosure, the controller delivers real-time zone-level
location awareness for Elpas Active RFID Tags plus automated
monitoring and control of Elpas fixed network infrastructure devices including wired
inputs and outputs.
The Standard ELC also
simultaneously transfers via Ethernet ‘Location’ and ‘State’ data to
and from an Elpas RTLS host server or using standard XML message
format to other application platforms for remote backup and control.
The Standard ELC contains an analog input
for monitoring an alert trigger plus digital outputs for setting
security and notification devices. The controller
also has onboard programmable logic rules for defining the outputs
to be automatically set in response to detected input triggers.
The Standard Outdoor Local Controller supports
robust event transaction storage and external hi-gain Yagi antennas for extended area coverage.
